Q: What is a Gold Party?

A: A gold party is similar to any other in-home party, except guests have the opportunity to make money rather than spend it. Guests receive a check for selling any old unwanted gold or platinum. The value is determined on the spot, and an offer is made. The guest then decides whether or not to sell. No one is expected to put his/her valuables in an envelope with the hope that he/she will be paid fair market value. The valuation and payout is immediate.

Q: How many people do I need to have a party?

A: While there is no minimum (more than one constitutes a party), the more successful parties are those in which there are at least seven guests. The volume of gold sold at your party is more important than the number of attendees, as your bonus is paid on that volume. The more party-goers you have in attendance, however, the greater chance you have of getting a referral bonus on a party booked out of yours.

Q: Will my guests have to sit through a presentation?

A: No!  Precious Metals does not sell anything, so there is no boring presentation. Your guests can relax and enjoy your hospitality!

Q: How is payout price determined?

A: Value is based on Karat, weight in grams, and the stock market’s trading price for gold on the day you are selling.

Q: Do you buy stones?

A: We do not pay for stones. If you have a stone that is valuable, please have it removed before presenting it.

Q: Do I have to know that my jewelry is really gold

A: If you’re not sure bring it. We use state-of-the-art equipment to determine the authenticity of gold.

Q: Do you only buy gold?

A: We buy all color gold, as well as platinum.

Q: How am I paid for referrals?

A: You can earn an additional bonus of 3% of any party directly booked out of your party.

Q: Can I bring my friend’s gold to the party?

A: It is fine for you to bring someone’s gold with you, but we will need to be able to get in touch with the gold’s owner once the offer is made, to find out if the offer is acceptable.

Q: How long is a typical party?

A: Usually 2-3 hours, but it depends on the number of guests, and the volume of gold being sold.

Q: I have an in-home party business of my own; will you do a party with me?
